I'm just beyond being able to summon up the emotion warranted by the new book documenting how the US Administration has basically been labeled war criminals by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Fortunately, hilzoy at Obsidian Wings and plenty of other blogs are reminding us just how bad things are.

Not to be melodramatic, I really think our days of living in a constitutional republic are effectively over.   (Yeah, I know it never was a perfect one, but it's no longer constitutional in any meaningful way.)
